- Prior to entering class, each student should report to the school registrar, and sign in giving his or her name and number of classes to be taken that day.
- All Intermediate level students (Intermediate I-IV) are required to take a minimum of two classes per week.
- All members of the Advanced class must take a minimum of six classes per week.
- During the preparation period preceding productions; rehearsals may be substituted for some of the regularly scheduled classes.
- Members of the Company are subject to the same regulations as the Advanced classes in the Attendance Policy.
- Members of the school’s Performing Company are not permitted to take classes or to perform elsewhere without the permission of the Artistic Directors.

Tuition rates are for the September through June school year. Tuition rates are determined by class levels. Please contact us for available payment options.
- Students registering for classes after the first of the month, tuition rates will be pro-rated.
- Students must decide on a tuition payment plan, and remain on this plan through out the school year.
- Students will not be permitted to participate in class if accounts are 30 days delinquent, from tuition due date, until accounts have been brought current.
- NO Refunds will be given on Tuitions.
- NO Refunds will be given on classes missed due to inclement weather or emergency closings of the school.
- Tuition Credits cannot be transferred.
- ONLY students at the Pre-Ballet through Beg Ballet I levels have the option to withdraw upon 30 days notice in writing with no penalty.
- Students in classes above the Beg Ballet I level may withdraw but will forfeit their tuition.
- The ONLY exceptions to withdrawal may be made in the case of serious illness, injury or transfer from the area.
-A fee of $35.00 will be levied for check returned by the bank for insufficient funds.

Virginia Ballet follows the Fairfax County Public School System Closings for Inclement Weather Conditions, Excluding Closings or Cancellations Due to High Temperatures. This Does Include the Cancellation of Fairfax County After School Activities and/or Weekend Activities. If Fairfax County Schools Close Early, Virginia Ballet Will Cancel All Evening Classes. If Fairfax County Schools Delay Opening 1 or 2 hours, Virginia Ballet Will Delay Morning Classes to Match Fairfax County School Openings.
1. The school Does Not extend or add additional classes to make-up for classes missed due to inclement weather or emergency/unexpected school closings.
2. Students may make-up a missed class during another class of the same level or one level down, with in the next following week of the missed class. Students must sign in and let the registrar, as well as the instructor of the class know they are attending as a make-up class.

- The Artistic Directors make all decisions concerning casting, choreography, and costuming.
- Casting is done by class observation.
- Students and parents are responsible for checking and noting their own rehearsal schedules, as well as updates posted on the board for students to attend.
- Students who Do Not attend all assigned rehearsals will be dropped from the cast except in cases of absence due to illness.
- Dancers in production must pay a costume fee, up to $80.00, and will be provided with costumes and accessories except for shoes and tights. The fee is used to cover costume maintenance expenses.
- All costumes and accessories are the property of the Company Wardrobe, and are loaned to students in advance of performances.
- Students are responsible for returning the entire costume in good condition following the performances.
- If the costume(s) or its accessories are lost or damaged, the student will be billed for the current cost to replace the entire costume(s), including all accessories.
